Introducing Weekly AI Summaries of Your Competitors’ Email Tactics

  Gregg Blanchard     June 13, 2026

One of the most common alternatives to a tool like SendView is trying to use your personal email account to subscribe to all of your competitors. The problem? You get a ton of emails and, because Gmail is designed for reading emails instead of analyzing them, that's about all you end up with. No insights, no ideas, no lessons, just emails.

As we've talked about before, SendView does an amazing job at revealing those lessons, but wanted to make those insights even easier to find.

The feature we're launching today started with a simple question:

What would be the simplest, most insightful way to summarize a brand's email marketing tactics?

We explored charts and dashboards, reports and overviews, but in the end the same simple idea came up: 1 sentence of text plus a few key takeaways. It would be short enough to read quickly, but detailed enough to not leave you wanting.

Indroducing, Weekly Summaries

Today, that's exactly what we're launching. We call them Weekly Summaries. They distill down last week's email activity relative to the previous three weeks of activity into a single sentence of high-level insights and three, super short takeaways. For example, here's an example for one of our favorite ESPs that we subscribe to, Aweber:

Consistent noon ET cadence and AI-tutorial branding, shifting toward faster โ€œsignup formโ€ creation and โ€œliveโ€ product moments versus earlier broader AI-show recaps.

๐Ÿš€ More โ€œlive at noonโ€ and webinar-style CTAs
๐Ÿงฉ Focus narrows to AI signup form builder
๐ŸŽจ Visual/design angles via Canva-to-AWeber workflow

Here's another for a main competitor to a spa company.

Competitor messaging shifted slightly toward lifestyle wellness themes, punctuated by a seasonal promo; cadence appears reduced, with fewer emails sent in this comparison window.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Slightly lower send frequency versus earlier weeks
๐Ÿก Content leans more lifestyle/wellness benefit framing
๐ŸŽ‰ One seasonal sale push used as a hook

Here's another for Hotels.com.

Recent emails intensified promotional urgency and broadened deal framing; compared with earlier sends, messaging stayed consistently deal-led while timing clustered closer together.

๐Ÿ”ฅ More aggressive โ€œsale/live/last callโ€ urgency
๐Ÿงญ Broader value messaging beyond % discounts
๐Ÿ“† Tighter sending cadence, multiple offers within weeks

Even better, they're included for all users on all plans starting today.

This are also related to one more feature we'll be talking about in a few days. You won't want to miss this one. It's simple, but has been a game-changer for us as we use it for our own competitor tracking.
