As you look through the dozens of “Cyber Monday” deals that have flooded your inbox today I thought it would be a good time to talk about where your money is going.

Last year on Cyber Monday, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos made an outrageous $6.28 billion.

Meanwhile, new reports have shown that Amazon warehouse workers operate in poor conditions, and receive low wages and pitiful benefits. Amazon supervisors have been caught telling workers to “get back to work” after an employee died of a heart attack on the warehouse floor.

If you agree that something needs to be done, chip in $5 right now and support our campaign powered by highest percentage of grassroots donors. >>

Right now, there are two billionaires who are spending over $100 million of their personal wealth on their campaigns for the Democratic nomination.

I believe this is a huge departure from what the Democratic party represents.

You can’t claim to want to fix our broken economic system and then turn around and use your vast fortune to gain more influence.

You can’t claim to be fighting against the toxic influence of dark money in our political system and then use your personal wealth to gain access and power.

It is time to say ‘enough is enough’. It’s time to elect a president who will put people -- not corporations, or their shareholders -- first.

So pitch in right now to help elect one:

No one like Julián Castro has ever been in the Oval Office. His grandmother immigrated here from Mexico when she was just 7 years old. She never got past the 4th grade, but she provided for her family by working as a maid and a housekeeper.

Now, her grandson is running for President of the United States. Against all odds, grassroots Democrats like YOU helped him qualify for the Democratic debates and sent him to the front of the pack of Democratic candidates.

We know we send you a lot of emails, but that’s because we’re relying on grassroots supporters to overcome our next big challenge:

Julián must be able to compete and build a movement that lasts for the long haul, and he’s not taking a cent of corporate PAC money to do it. Will you be a part of this historic campaign?

Again, we know we send you a lot of emails. We hope you’ll stick with us long-term. If you want to stay updated but receive fewer emails, please let us know here. If you’d like to unsubscribe completely, we understand. Please unsubscribe here, and we’ll make sure to process your request.
