You know, the last time I wrote to you, it was snowing in Iowa, and we were just 17 days away from the official start of the Democratic primary season.

Well, it’s not snowing anymore. The world has changed immeasurably since then.

And yet, as we face one of our most dire challenges, we have also seen that the heart of our nation still beats with kindness and courage. I am so grateful to all of the frontline workers who are seeing us through this pandemic, and for everyone risking their health to keep us fed and safe.

I’m grateful for my fellow teachers, who have learned to hold classes online, connect with students who don’t have the technology they need, and continue to be a source of strength for students in this chaotic time.

I’m grateful for everyone who has made a mask, delivered groceries, or checked in on someone in need -- the countless acts of kindness that make the hard times a little more bearable.

And, I am grateful for every single one of you who helped Joe and the campaign. It was a big feat, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support and commitment.
