Right now, Texas Republicans are trying to pass a bill that would dramatically limit access to the ballot box. They want to make it harder to vote by mail, ban drive-through voting, and eliminate extended hours during early voting.
The only thing keeping that anti-voter bill from becoming law is our Democratic delegation, who left the state so that Governor Abbott wouldn't have the quorum he needed to jam this bill through.
We can guarantee that Texas House Democrats will keep doing whatever it takes to hold the line in our state, but this is a wake up call. We need everyone in America to stand up with us to defend our democracy, not just in Texas, but nationwide.
