Last week, I joined Vice President Harris to make our official announcement: The DNC will be dramatically expanding our investments in voter education, voter protection, targeted voter registration, and technology to make voting more accessible and fight back against Republicans' unprecedented attacks on the right to vote.
It's a big investment, but given the stakes, it's absolutely necessary. I've said it before and I'll say it again now: Republican lawmakers are trying to take us back to a place in time where voices do not matter and people do not count. We cannot allow that to happen.
I'll be real with you: It's not going to be cheap to run the DNC's largest voter protection and mobilization program in modern history. That's why I am coming to folks like you to ask for your support: If you're able, make a $7 donation to the DNC today to fight back against GOP voter suppression and elect Democrats nationwide.
This initiative will deploy every asset available to ensure we are communicating directly with all potential voters about their rights and the rules around voting. That will include:

Voter registration: As we fight back against the most egregious attacks on voters and voting rights in decades, we must also invest in registering voters where the attacks are landing and other organizations simply cannot afford to step in.

Voter protection: We're funding the largest Voter Protection team in DNC history, which will include state-level analytics staff for the first time. While we fight attacks on the right to vote on the ground, we'll also continue to fight them in the courtroom, too.

Voter education: We're investing millions in television and digital ads, to make it easier for folks to learn how to register and where and when to vote. We also plan to do outreach particularly to new, young, and diverse voters to make sure they know what President Biden and Democrats have achieved and what they can do to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Tools and technology: We're funding the largest tech team in the history of the DNC. The team will use their data and tools to identify and contact voters affected by voter suppression efforts so we can ensure that all eligible voters have the information they need to cast a ballot.
Here's what this all comes down to: Republicans know that their policies are unpopular -- and that the only way for them to retake power is to attack our most fundamental right to vote.
But throughout history and all across the country -- from Democratic state legislators in Texas to the DNC's case before the Supreme Court -- Democrats have shown we are fighters and we will not give up our right to vote. The ‘D' in Democrat stands for deliver, and we are delivering innovative and historic resources to protect our democracy.
