Hey -- Sam here, the DNC's executive director. I wanted to drop you a line as we head into the final stretch of 2021. You know, the contrast between the Democratic and Republican parties couldn't be clearer than at this moment. While it's not a pretty picture for the GOP, victory next November is anything but a given.

I'm about to get into the weeds about what's happened the last nine months and what it all means for our 2022 plans. I hope you'll humor me, keep reading, and then help us by making a $7 investment in the DNC to ensure Democrats win up and down the ballot next year.

The GOP is the party of opposition and obstruction

Republicans have spent this year proving time and again that they have no interest in serving the people -- and that there is no opportunity to help workers and families that trumps their singular goal of obstruction for political gain:

• Every Republican in Congress voted against the American Rescue Plan and the Build Back Better budget resolution to put checks in pockets, shots in arms, and help make the super-wealthy pay their fair share in taxes.
• House Republican leadership is whipping its members to vote against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal to make once-in-a-generation investments in roads, bridges, rail and waterways, ports, and broadband.

The fact is that the Republican Party has done nothing to signal to our nation that they're interested in governing. All they've done is prove that they are sticking to Donald Trump's me-first, let-the-country-burn approach to politics.

People everywhere support Democrats' efforts and oppose Republican obstructionism

The Build Back Better Agenda is what Joe Biden ran and won on. It's the agenda that gave Democrats our majorities in Congress. It's the agenda the people want:

• Voters overwhelmingly support Democrats' plan to pay for the Build Back Better Agenda by making big corporations and the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share.
• People across our country see through the Republican Party's games and know that the Democratic Party is the party for the middle and working classes, while the Republican Party is for the wealthy.

What this means for 2022

So, you might be thinking, "Sam, what does this mean for the midterms?" I'm glad you asked.

Here's what it boils down to: Workers and families everywhere are on the side of the Democratic Party. Now, it's up to each and every one of us to make sure Democrats can get our message out to every community, in every corner of the country. (We can't count anyone out -- there are no red states or blue states when we're expanding the map for Democrats!)

This is a huge undertaking, so we'll need to build on the DNC's already historic investments in state parties, grassroots infrastructure, and voter protection. That's just not possible without the backing of grassroots supporters like you, so I have to ask:
