It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Star Trek. Ever since my older sister sat me down to watch the first episode of The Next Generation, I’ve been hooked.

But what keeps me engaged with every iteration of this series is how it challenges us to really think about how we structure a society, and how willing we are to find solutions when we think we have all the answers.

So it’s no exaggeration to say I am thrilled to be joining the grassroots fundraiser Tuesday at 6:00 PM EDT, where 19 Star Trek cast members will reunite to save our future, along with my friends Pete Buttigieg and Andrew Yang.
