In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make the most important contribution you can make — on the most important day of the campaign so far. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.
Here is the truth:
Later today, we will know the outcome of the Iowa caucus. We will know whether all of the work we've done was enough, or whether the last-minute attacks from super PACs and the political establishment prevailed.
Our campaign has received a record number of contributions from a record number of people. But it is important for us to be ready for what comes next, because the monied interests in this country will only work harder to defeat us if we prevail.
We have set a difficult goal of reaching 75,000 donations before tonight's caucus begins and still need a lot more contributions to reach our goal. Help us send a message to the political establishment and the corporate media that we are in a strong position to take on anything that comes next and that ours is the grassroots campaign that will defeat Trump:
Tonight the world will be watching Iowa. Let this be the beginning of a new America — an America based on the principles of justice. Social justice. Economic justice. Racial justice. Environmental justice.
Let us show the world the kind of America we know we can become.
