As a young man, I marched the streets and spent nights in jail to fight for the right to vote. It is not a fight I hoped we would still be in generations later.

But, the GOP's latest efforts to gain power by suppressing political participation are a grave threat to our democracy. Republicans know that when more folks vote, our vision of liberty and justice prevails. So they're trying to silence as many votes and voices as possible in the upcoming elections.

We cannot leave their attacks on the right to vote unanswered. The DNC is the sole party committee tasked with electing Democrats at every level of government in every ZIP code, and earlier this year they launched their largest-ever voter protection program. So, I have to ask:
