It’s my job to track our campaign’s online fundraising numbers. And right now, I’m sorry to tell you that we’re falling short of our goal for tomorrow’s public fundraising deadline:

Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris have all emailed you about this public deadline because it’s truly important. If we fail to hit our goal, we’ll have to make some tough decisions about the budget for the last 21 days of this race -- and the entire country will know if we fall short.

Our goal is not an arbitrary number. We really do need to raise $235,870 more from Utah to make sure we have the resources to keep our organizers in the field in battleground states, run sophisticated ad campaigns to reach undecided voters, and more.

And with everything going on in the world right now, fundraising just isn’t as predictable as we’d like it to be. So when I saw us fall off track a little, I needed to reach out.

If we fall short, we’ll have to change our thinking about what we can and can’t afford in the home stretch of this campaign. And with just 21 days until Election Day, any budget cuts could be devastating.
