It's official: Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have shut down the federal government.

Democratic members of the House and the Senate are in DC, ready to pass a clean bill to fund the government.

Donald Trump and Republicans won't take that deal. Instead, they're holding the federal government hostage while ripping away Americans' health care and jacking up costs.

That's just plain wrong. Democrats won't support a partisan Republican spending bill that rips health care away from tens of millions of Americans.
