Yesterday, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law -- providing $1.9 trillion of relief for millions of Americans weathering the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis.
Delivering relief to the American people has been on the Biden-Harris agenda since the very beginning. And President Biden, Vice President Harris, and congressional Democrats fought tirelessly over the past month to deliver on that promise.

The American Rescue Plan is a historic piece of legislation that does far more than just expand testing and vaccination programs for COVID-19. Here are just a few of the ways the legislation will help us overcome the pandemic and get our economy back on track:
- The American people will receive a third direct economic impact payment -- and unemployment benefits will be extended through the end of the summer;
- Health care premiums will drop for middle-class families;
- Child care costs will be cut to help more parents get back to work, and the pay and benefits of child care workers will increase;
- SNAP benefits will increase, and nutrition assistance programs for mothers and young children will be expanded to make sure no families go hungry;
- Small business loans will be expanded to help small business owners reopen their doors
Passing a bill of this magnitude is a HUGE accomplishment, and it couldn't have happened without President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats in the House and Senate. So, take a moment to say thanks.
