Watson here, the DNC's communications director. I wanted to touch base before the long weekend. I know that there's a lot to celebrate this Fourth of July -- whether it's having a cookout together with your family or going to see a baseball game in person (I'm personally pretty excited about this one).

But there's a lot to celebrate BECAUSE Democrats are leading this country out of a global pandemic with honesty and compassion -- and we cannot let anyone forget about it heading into next year's midterm elections.

Democrats are getting our country back on track, and my team just launched an ad to remind everyone of it this holiday weekend. Will you watch the ad, and then chip in $7 -- or even a couple bucks -- so we can blanket the airwaves and support Democrats nationwide?

There's no better time than right now to remind the American people: Democrats are the reason we're able to celebrate together this Fourth of July. Truth is, our ability to keep and grow our majorities next year depends upon spreading the word of Democrats' successes, which is why I wanted you to read this email before the long weekend.

We cannot sit back and wait to get our message out there. To expand the map for Dems, we have to fight like hell with every tool in our toolkit -- media hits, paid ads, digital organizing, and more -- to share with the public and the press how we're getting our country back on track.

That work is critical, but it's also expensive. I know that you won't let us get out-messaged by Republicans or out-organized in our fight to hold and expand our Democratic majorities, so I'm asking:
