TIt's no secret PUMA have been riffling through their impressive archives in Herzo for long-lost slices of sportswear perfection and the Palermo ticks all the proverbial boxes.
Named after an exotic location to conjure up rich imagery & escapism check. Cult following with links to archetypal subculture? Check. A gum sole & lashings of rich suede? You bet it has. The Palermo offers just about everything you'd want from footwear in these realms. A sharp shape some interesting paneling, and satisfying contrasts with the colour blocking and authentic branding.
With this in mind we took PUMA's latest pack for a spin on the sands of Aberdeen beach. Typically sipping on Spritz is a well worn holiday past time. Usually sat somewhere bright & warm, where the waves gently lap on the golden sands. Or sat in a quaint bistro located within an impressive piazza flanked by historic architecture and the whiff of culture in the air. Not having any of those available to us at the time of shooting we decided to play on the opposite of the glamour found abroad and pitched ourselves up on the boulevard with a bottle of ginger...
