Earlier this month eight TV stations in North Carolina pulled down the National Republican Senatorial Committee's shameful attack ad after they were caught lying about my record on the air.

The truth is that I'm a mom and former public defender, judge, and Chief Justice who upheld the Constitution, worked with law enforcement to keep communities safe, and held violent offenders accountable.

National Republicans are using their same old playbook to spread fear and lies to try to win an election -- but it won't work here in North Carolina. And with your support, we'll make sure they don't get away with it anywhere.

My opponent is Trump's handpicked candidate with a record of voting against the interests of North Carolina to serve his own interests and the corporate special interests that fund his campaign. And his policy positions? Those speak volumes, too: He's voted repeatedly against lowering costs for North Carolinians and even opposed a bipartisan bill to get health care to veterans exposed to burn pits during their service.

The people of North Carolina deserve a voice in the U.S. Senate -- and I promise to be a champion for the people when we flip this seat together.
