When I ran for governor, I became known for my pledge to "fix the damn roads." But here's the thing: Michigan isn't the only state whose infrastructure has fallen into disrepair.
It's an issue that's long been talked about across our country, but rarely been addressed -- until now. Last week, Congress passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, a once-in-a-generation investment that's going to create good-paying jobs, modernize our roads and bridges, and more.
