I learned early on in the Obama administration that bold, meaningful policy-making isn't always enough to win elections. That's why I hope you will give me a moment to explain why our party cannot rely on the Biden-Harris administration's accomplishments alone to lift Democrats to victory in 2022 -- and why the DNC urgently needs your support before May's end-of-month fundraising deadline.
In his first 100 days, President Biden met and surpassed his goals for vaccinating Americans and passed the historic American Rescue Plan to get direct relief to millions. That is truly incredible, and would not be possible without the support of this team and Democrats in Congress. But our majorities in Congress are incredibly slim.
The DNC is already making historic investments to make sure we can keep that majority -- and build on it -- in the years to come. Ensuring our party is fully funded will be critical to supporting the technology, data, and organizing resources candidates are counting on to win.
So, will you donate $7 to the DNC before their May fundraising deadline? Every cent will go straight toward holding the line in Congress and electing Democrats nationwide.
Biden-Harris policies have broad bipartisan support among Americans, but Republicans in Congress would rather take credit for popular legislation once it's law than actually vote for it. Not a single Republican voted for the American Rescue Plan, and the DNC has rightfully spread that truth far and wide. It's up to committed Democrats like you to help hold the GOP accountable and elect leaders nationwide who will put country over party.
The Biden-Harris administration is building back better, and we can't afford to slow down now. Democrats running at every level rely on the DNC's critical campaign resources and are counting on the DNC to hit its fundraising goals, so I have to ask:
Will you donate $7 to the DNC to support the infrastructure Democrats nationwide need to win their races in 2021, 2022, and beyond? Our majorities in Congress are incredibly slim, and we can't risk losing ground on the progress we've made so far.
