Team, We wanted to share a pretty crazy story with you, if you have a minute: In 2010, the Supreme Court made a decision in Citizens United that has fundamentally altered the course of political history, essentially allowing corporations to spend unlimited money to influence election outcomes. In 2016, that ruling allowed billionaires and dark money Super PACs to throw their weight behind Donald Trump and ultimately win the presidency. But their influence wasn't enough to keep him in power after his disastrous first term. When Trump lost in 2020, billionaires were pissed. Guys like Elon Musk spent the next four years preparing for 2024, and it worked. Ultra-conservative super PACs funded by shady billionaires lined up behind the Trump campaign. And now they're reaping the benefits of their investment in tax breaks, government contracts, and gaudy events at Mar-a-Lago. Team, we're still fighting that same fight. Conservative billionaires will do anything to make sure Trump continues to have control over Congress to do whatever he'd like. They're dumping hundreds of millions of dollars into Republican campaigns and Super PACs, giving MAGA a huge cash advantage over Democrats. But we have something they don't: you. Trump is historically unpopular. The numbers are on our side. We just need to make sure that Democrats in key races have the resources that they need to run winning campaigns.
