Across the country, we saw Democrats win state houses, governorships, and other local offices. We saw historically Republican districts flip to Democrat and swing districts soundly reject Republican Trumpism. In Kentucky, incumbent Governor Matt Bevin was easily beaten — one day after Trump held a GOTV rally for him! In Virginia, the Democrats swept the statewide elections and now hold majorities in the House and Senate — that hasn't happened in decades!

And you can bet what Donald Trump’s response will be: he’ll continue working to suppress Republican voters in the primaries, strongarm State Party Chairs to do his bidding, and whine about the vote being rigged against him. It's the only way he can dream of winning the primary.

Americans sent a clear message yesterday — they reject the disastrous policies, hateful rhetoric, and everyday corruption of Donald Trump, and they detest the Republicans who continue to carry water for him.

No matter what Trump and his invertebrate cronies do to deny us our voice, there's no stopping us — the voters will have their day and we will put an end to this national nightmare. Whether it's in the rigged primary or the general election, Trump will have so many voters chomping at the bit to vote him out that any Republican running for any office will be crushed.

That's why we need to make sure he isn't the nominee.
