"The new ritual, even more than checking the windows and doors before bed, is to check the incoming. Doom scroll a bit, check Slack and email and make sure there are no loose ends.

And then the ritual continues, first thing in the morning as we check the overnights, to make sure everything is still okay.

What if, instead, just for a week, the last thing we did was make a list of exciting opportunities for the future? And if the first thing after waking up was doing some morning pages and jotting down what we're looking forward to?

There's plenty of time to check the windows and doors during the rest of the day."

This feels like a perfect time to re-circulate this short video.  In these dark and sad times of 2020/2021, it's easy to get caught up in the negativity that the media presents us and let that weigh heavy on us. 

Fred Rogers' perspective is that when you're watching these tragedies or tough times on the news, look for the good people or "the helpers" (aka our health care workers, first responders and essential workers) and that will bring you hope and positivity ♥ 

*Mr. Rogers never lets me down, even as an adult.

 Levi, Lappi, Finland is the place to go for igloo hotels with epic views of the Northern Lights. May or may not have gotten lost in a google search of the Finland Igloos and I don't regret it.
