I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news: We have an official Democratic nominee for governor of Virginia -- Terry McAuliffe! Terry is ready to retain control in Richmond and keep delivering for working families -- and we're confident that Virginians will send him back to the governor's mansion to do so.

But here's the bad news: He's running against self-funded, Trump-backed Glenn Youngkin. Not only has Youngkin propagated Trump's conspiracy theories about the 2020 election -- he's also committed to continuing to try to suppress votes if elected governor.

Republicans nationwide are keyed in on Virginia this year to test whether they can grab back power from Democrats in the midterms. We're counting on this team to send a strong message that Democrats are ready to defend our seats heading into 2022 -- and make sure that Republicans like Youngkin don't serve a single day in office.

It's going to take this grassroots team stepping up early on to back the DNC's efforts to hire organizers, run voter protection programs, and more. So, I have to ask:
