I ran for Senate against a Republican incumbent in South Carolina just last year, so I know a thing or two about what it's like to be counted out before you even get started.
While we may not have won my race, my campaign and others across the country made it clear that no state is a red state if we invest early enough. Heck, just take a look at what we accomplished together in Georgia and Arizona!
When we put in the work early, we can win anywhere. All it takes to flip a state from red to blue is time, talent, and energy.
That's why now, as DNC chair, I'm so proud that we're making historic investments in state parties and the grassroots, and particularly in traditionally red states. We must apply direct pressure on the GOP to expand the map for Democrats next year -- not just in historically Democratic-leaning states. I hope you'll consider supporting that work.
